Dear Members and Friends,
We hope you are well and safe during these unprecedented times.
I wanted to make certain you are aware that the Conservative party has officially resumed the leadership race. This means that you will be able to choose our new leader if you purchase and renew your membership by this Friday May 15th. Check the status of your membership online or contact the National CPC Service Desk at 1-866-808-8407. Make sure you have your membership number handy before calling.
Also, you should of the recent announcement regarding the postponement of the next Conservative National Policy Convention that was planned for November. Regarding good policies, we believe it is more important than ever for leadership candidates to discuss policy issues that impact major urban areas such as the GTA. Therefore, we are organizing a virtual leadership candidate meeting for our members, tentatively planned for early June. Once the date is finalized, you will be invited to attend the event, which we hope will feature all 4 leadership candidates.
Meanwhile, please complete the following survey and let us know the issues that are of greatest concern to you.
I want you to know how much we appreciate your ongoing support of the Etobicoke-Lakeshore Conservative Association, which is working very hard to advance the conservative message.
Any donation you are able to give this year would be very helpful. You can donate online by clicking here.
To keep up with issues of current public debate, we recommend you listen to one or all of the following radio shows;
- The John Oakley Show, 5:00 pm alternating Fridays from May 15, with John Capobianco, one of our Etobicoke-Lakeshore EDA board directors;
- Canada Talks with Arlene Bynon: Sirius XM Tuesdays at 11:00 am;
- Fighting Back with Libby Znaimer: Zoomer Radio Tuesdays at Noon (AM Radio 740).
Finally, I would also like to share with you a great article written by one of our other board directors Geoff Turner that was recently published in the Financial Post.
