Special Guest-Panelists:

The Honourable Michael Chong MP, Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs:  Michael Chong was first elected to Parliament in 2004.  He currently serves as shadow minister for foreign affairs for the Official Opposition.  Michael has served in the federal cabinet as president of the Queen’s Privy Council, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, and Minister for Sport.  Michael has also served as Chair of several House of Commons Standing Committees and is co-founder and member of the All-Party Climate Caucus.  Prior to his election, Michael worked in several senior IT positions in the private sector.  Michael lives in Wellington County, Ontario with his wife Carrie and his 3 sons William, Alistair, and Cameron.

James Bezan MP, Secretary, Canada-Ukraine Parliamentary Friendship Group: James Bezan is the Member of Parliament for Selkirk-Interlake-Eastman in Manitoba and the Conservative Shadow Minister for Ethics. Since becoming an MP in 2004, he has been extremely active on issues important to Ukrainian Canadians, including passing his PMB to create Holodomor Memorial Day and sponsoring the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act (the "Sergei Magnitsky Law"). James spent a decade working on the defence file as the Parliamentary Secretary and then Shadow Minister. He is also an outspoken critic of Putin and was banned from Russia in 2014.

Ihor Kozak, Co-founder of the Friends of Ukraine Defence Forces Fund: Ihor Kozak is a Ukrainian-Canadian community leader, military and geopolitical expert, retired Canadian military officer, an entrepreneur and a strategy consultant. In his not-for-profit life, he is the co-founder of the Friends of Ukraine Defence Forces Fund, amongst several other board and executive positions. Over the past two decades, he has spent a lot of time spearheading various not-for-profit and charitable projects in Ukraine. Since 2014, he has been heavily involved in everything related to the Rus-Ukr war, including: making many trips to the Donbas frontlines, delivering non-lethal military aid to Ukrainian military, supporting veterans and casualties of war, and advising governments, think-tanks and media in Kyiv, Ottawa, Washington and Brussels.
